7th International Conference Safety and Protective Fabrics – Textiles for Extreme Applications
Tuesday, Oct. 26, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Demanding conditions require highly engineered textile solutions. The 7th International Conference on Safety & Protective Fabrics, presents a full day of materials research and applications, delivering ideas about “Textiles for Extreme Applications.” This biennial conference attracts program managers, project engineers, technical sales and marketing personnel, decision makers and innovative thinkers from government and industry, with interests in safety and technical product markets.

Advancements in Multi-Functional Nonwovens
Tuesday, Oct. 26, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
This session will focus on both academic and commercial advances in nonwoven materials, composites and surface engineering to create multi-functional nonwovens for filtration, military and industrial applications.

Sustainability and Innovation
Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1:00 - 4:00 pm

As companies are focusing on sustainability, novel solutions are resulting. By analyzing market opportunities using the triple bottom line, companies are moving from trade-offs to innovation. During this session you will learn about some examples of the trade-off for innovation.

Composite Material Applications
Wednesday, 27 Oct. 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Discover what types of research and new technologies are being developed and brought to market. The research discussed will show the diverse opportunities for the use of composite materials. Each presenter will provide a new technology process and/or application option.

2 Part Session on the Advanced Applications in Battle and Military Medical Fields
Wednesday, 27 Oct., 10:00 am - 12:30 pm and 2:00 - 4:30 pm
War brings casualties as well as innovation. Improvements in fibers, fabrics, finishes and processes are explored in this 2 part seminar. Part 1 includes materials research for wound healing, body monitoring, mobility enhancement, chem-bio threat solutions and other university research. Part 2 will introduce products and processes based on research theories which are being launched into the battlefield and military medical fields.

The Future of Nanotechnology on Advanced Textiles
Wednesday, Oct 27., 2:00 - 4:30 pm
Nanotechnology has varied forms today and is becoming an integral part of manufacturing systems for advanced textiles. This technology, which makes it possible to manipulate materials and systems at the atomic and molecular levels, will add functionality to textile products never dreamed of previously. Learn how you can enter the future with nanotechnology.
